Our Titanium valves are forged from one piece high temperature Titanium alloy.
Yellow Titanium Nitride
YELLOW TITANIUM NITRIDE (TiN) :
covering the whole valve. This coating is much harder than the Molybdenum coating (equivalent to 85 Rc) and covers not only the stem but also the tip and valve seat which is a solution to many problems of valve wear on the seat area in classes like NASCAR , IRL, Formula One, BTCC, etc.
This coating is applied by PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) providing the valve with a very hard, frictionless protective coating, tested and approved by many important engine builders worldwide. We have developed the application of the Titanium Nitride coating like very few others, by PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), with such a quality, that provides the valve with a very hard and smooth, frictionless protective coating. It has been tested and approved by many important engine builders worldwide.
This coating works very well with the Manganese Bronze valve guides and for engines with bucket type tappets there is no need of a welded or pressed tip, consequently eliminating the risk of breakage.
This is a widely used coating and recommended when necessary in accordance to seat and guide materials.
A newly developed silver color coating also applied by PVD and with similar characteristics as the TiN.
